Leather Travel Case

Bought it for my dad's birthday. He took it on his first trip and keeps telling me about the colour deepening. It arrived in a cotton dust bag inside a sturdy box, so the presentation was already nice.

Took it away for three nights and it fit a change of clothes, shoes and a washbag with room to spare. The cognac is deep and the brass clasps close with a satisfying click. The handles have darkened slightly, which I like.

The leather is stiff at first and needs breaking in. It fitted under the seat on a short flight. The tannin smell faded after a few days by an open window. I plan to condition it in spring as the card suggests.

heavy when full but it feels like it will outlast me. the cotton lining is clean and the clasps are solid.

Quality is clear and the 45 cm length is generous. I wish it came with a shoulder strap, as it gets heavy carried by the handles through an airport. Scratches show easily, though they blend into the patina over time.
